NetworkNewsBreaks – Marijuana Company of America, Inc. (MCOA) JV Completes Setup of 10,000 sq. ft. Greenhouse Space

Innovative hemp and cannabis corporation Marijuana Company of America (OTC: MCOA) this morning announced the completion of the setup of 10,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse space in its Washington-based joint venture (“JV”) with Bougainville Ventures, Inc. Pending the completion of an anticipated inspection this week, the tenant grower will be able to commence cultivation in the greenhouse space. The setup marks the first 10,000 of an intended 30,000 square foot facility with the capacity to hold approximately 4,000 plants. “As landlords we are looking forward to providing a turnkey property to the first of hopefully many licensed tenants in Washington. Providing a turnkey facility for tenant growers is an ideal cultivation environment for tenants with minimal start-up capital and consistent rental income for MCOA,” MCOA CEO Donald Steinberg stated in the news release.

LONDON — British lawmakers have backed calls for greater regulation of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin in order to bring an element of control to a market that more resembles the "Wild West." In a report on digital currencies published Wednesday, the Treasury Select Committee called for regulations to protect consumers and prevent money laundering. Lawmakers highlighted a rapidly emerging industry that's been troubled by wild price swings, allegations of fraud and worries it could be used to finance criminal or terrorist activity. THE HAGUE, Netherlands — The Dutch government says the country's economy will grow by 2.6 percent next year and unemployment will fall to a record low of 3.5 percent. The king and Queen Maxima rode through crowd-lined streets of The Hague in a horse-drawn carriage to...

Sep 19, 2018

LONDON — Citizens of European Union countries should not have easier access to the U.K. after Brexit than people from other parts of the world, a government-commissioned report recommended Tuesday. EU citizens now can live and work in the U.K. under the bloc's free-movement rules, but that will end after Britain leaves the EU in March. The government asked the Migration Advisory Committee for a report on the impact of EU migration to help shape its future policy. The committee said "a migrant's impact depends on factors such as their skills, employment, age and use of public services, and not...
